South Campus Commons, the
newest residential community at the University of
Maryland in College Park, was developed through a
public and private partnership between Capstone Development
and the University of Maryland.
The Commons, which consist
of four low rise residential buildings, will house
1,253 students in 348 apartments, seminar and conference
rooms, faculty offices, student lounges, and computer
centers.
The new student housing facilities
integrate the University of Maryland’s new living-learning
program, “Beyond the Classroom.” This
program aims to serve those students enrolled in the
university’s highly regarded honors program.
