Crate & Barrel at Towson Town Center, Towson, Maryland
Project to include a three story 42,000 s.f. retail space for Crate & Barrel and Morton's Restaurant. This retail space is one component of a major expansion and renovation of an existing regional shopping center. Space would interface with new garage and retail spaces planned for the Towson Town Center expansion. The building features a masonry and curtain wall façade articulated with cantilevered and recessed slab edges. A full basement would house, employee lounge, office, storage and the restaurant tenant. The loading dock and customer pick-up is configured from the basement level which is Level 1. An escalator begins at Level 2 to service Level 3. The escalator pit would be suspended from Level 2 framing. Site retaining walls occur at the loading dock, customer pick-up area and along the east façade. Grand entry stair and planters are fashioned along the south façade.
